Sumer Northern Ireland (Sumer NI) has announced key managerial appointments across its Innovation Tax Relief and Tax Teams.
Firstly, with over 25 years’ experience in retail and business banking, alongside four years specialising in financial crime and banking operations consulting, Michael Pucci has been appointed Practice Workflow Senior Manager at Sumer NI.
Michael has a proven track record in operational leadership, team development, and driving efficiency across complex environments.
Assuming responsibility for the operational leadership and workflow management of the Tax department, his role with Sumer NI includes staff management and coaching, workflow oversight, recruitment support, client onboarding, financial management, and contributing to wider business development.
Michael also brings extensive project management expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and a clear focus on enhancing customer experience and leading teams through change.
Meanwhile, Dermot McElduff has taken up the role of Senior Manager in Sumer NI’s Innovation Tax Relief team.
A graduate of Ulster University with a BSc (Hons) in Computing Science, Dermot boasts almost 25 years’ experience in the technology sector, working with start-up businesses and global corporates. During that time, Dermot has held various roles across software development, technology infrastructure and senior leadership.
In his new role, Dermot will work with Sumer NI’s clients to assess the eligibility of software and technology projects for R&D tax relief. Using his vast experience, he will support businesses through the entire claims process, ensuring compliance, robustness and accuracy.
