Nomadic Watches

Nomadic is a watch company from Belfast that specialises in modern mechanical tool watches, with attention to detail and rugged durability. Inspired by Belfast’s shipbuilding history, bold endeavours, and a longing for adventure, Nomadic sits at the confluence of heritage and modern purpose-led lifestyles. The company is named after the SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world, and the nomadic pursuit of new horizons.

Drawing inspiration from this shipbuilding legacy, we called our dive watch collection Maraí 401. The word means ‘seafarer’ in Irish; while the number 401 is an echo of Titanic’s production name. With a 40mm case, 660ft water resistance and a Swiss mechanical movement, Maraí 401 echoes Belfast’s greatest engineering feats. The unmistakable sweeping yellow second hand is a nod to the pair of twin shipbuilding cranes, known as “Samson and Goliath”, icons of the Belfast skyline.

Our first timepiece, the MARAÍ 401, launched in 2021 and has been praised for its quality, versatility, attention to detail, accuracy, and attainability. With swelling interest from a broad global customer base, including many collectors, Nomadic is building upon its success and exploring further additions to its range.
