East Belfast Enterprise and Inspire Business Centre are currently in advanced merger
discussions and are seeking a new Chair to guide both organisations through this significant
transition and into a new phase of growth.
Operating as charities and local enterprise agencies, both organisations have a strong social
mission: to help individuals start and grow businesses, create local jobs, and support inclusive
economic development across greater East Belfast.
“The organisations are coming together, each inspired by the benefits and economies of scale
that will help us support more individual entrepreneurs and small businesses to take root in
Greater Belfast – delivering more jobs and a thriving community,” says Duncan Graham, Chair
of East Belfast Enterprise.
The role of Chair calls for someone skilled in managing board meetings, building consensus
across diverse viewpoints, and ensuring clarity and cohesion in decision-making. Just as
importantly, the Chair must have a deep appreciation for the role local enterprises play in
community regeneration and local empowerment.
The recruitment process is being led by the organisation’s partners at Engage Executive Talent
who have set up a homepage for the role at Engage website for more detail. Anyone interested
in a role is encouraged to contact Engage Director Patrick Minne patrick@co3.org.uk 07792
509003 before its closing date of noon on Monday 11 August 2025.
