Bodyscape Health Club, Belfast’s leading destination for fitness and relaxation, is set to enhance its Shaw’s Bridge site with a major redevelopment. With an investment of over £300,000, the club will deliver upgraded facilities designed to improve the experience of both members and guests.
The redevelopment, delivered in collaboration with Philip Rodgers Design, Barrett Construction, and Podium for Sport, combines innovative design, high-quality construction, and specialist sports facility expertise.
Through Philip Rodgers Design and Barrett Construction, the changing areas have been redesigned with members and guests in mind, creating spaces that are welcoming, practical, and comfortable. The upgrade includes digital-coded lockers for security and convenience, refreshed toilet and vanity areas, and added cubicles to enhance privacy, all designed to make every visit smoother and more enjoyable.
The gym floor has been completely redesigned via Podium for Sport, featuring all-new purpose-built flooring, a dedicated strength and conditioning zone, and additional equipment chosen based on member feedback, creating a layout that is flexible, practical, and more enjoyable for workouts.
These upgrades are guided entirely by member feedback, ensuring the improvements genuinely enhance the experience of anyone using the club. The redevelopment also benefits the adjoining Crowne Plaza Belfast, giving hotel guests access to improved wellness and fitness amenities and reinforcing Bodyscape’s position as a leading hub for health, fitness, and relaxation in Belfast.
Rajesh Rana – Director Andras House says —
“At Andras House, we’re proud to continue investing in the Bodyscape brand and building on its reputation as one of Belfast’s most dynamic spaces for fitness, wellbeing, and relaxation. This redevelopment is a major milestone in that commitment, delivering real, long-term benefits for our members and guests who are at the heart of everything we do.
The upgraded gym floor and refurbished changing areas will create a space that feels both premium and accessible, offering members a more comfortable, functional, and inspiring environment to train and unwind in. At the same time, these improvements will enhance the wellness experience for guests of the Crowne Plaza Belfast, which we also operate, helping to strengthen our position as a destination where fitness, hospitality, and wellbeing come together seamlessly.”
Simon Millar Head of Leisure Bodyscape says –
‘’Bodyscape has already established itself as one of Belfast’s leading destinations for fitness and relaxation, and this redevelopment will only strengthen that position. The new gym floor has been carefully designed to reflect current fitness trends and the way people want to train today, with a greater focus on strength, conditioning, and functional movement.
The full refurbishment of our changing areas also raises the bar for comfort and quality, further positioning Bodyscape as an affordable yet premium space within the market. We’ve worked hard to bring this project to life, and I’m thrilled to see how these improvements will enhance the experience for both our members and our guests, ensuring Bodyscape continues to lead the way in wellness and fitness in Belfast.”
