Belfast Telegraph Business Awards – less than 2 weeks to go

As the deadline to enter the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards approaches, entrants are encouraged to get entries submitted before 21st March.

Sponsored by Ulster Bank, the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards is a highly anticipated event that celebrates NI’s business community.

This year sees the 25th anniversary of the awards, which recognise the success of individuals and organisations operating within businesses across Northern Ireland.

Here’s everything you need to know about entering the awards.

Categories
• There are 17 categories for firms to enter which can be found here.
• Each category has specific criteria which the judges will be looking out for, individual criteria can be found on each category entry page.
• The Lifetime Achievement Award, which is a non-entry category, will be chosen by the panel of judges to recognise an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the business over a significant period.
• Outstanding Business of the Year Award, also a non-entry category, will be chosen from the pool of award winners by the panel of judges, and presented to a business that has made a significant contribution to its customers, employees, local community and wider stakeholders.

Entry requirements
• It is free to enter.
• You may enter as many categories as you wish.
• Entries are to be a maximum of 1000 words over a maximum of 4 pages, and you may include up to 4 pages of visuals. In total your PDF entry should not exceed 8 pages and 3mb in size.
• Entries will be confined to organisations which are based in Northern Ireland or have a significant operating base here.
• All entries will be assessed on recent achievements. Entries should be based on business developments in the last two years (except where stipulated) and should demonstrate continuing relevance to the business in 2025.

Closing date
• Entries must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 21st March.
• With two weeks to go, those wishing to enter are encouraged to submit their PDFs through the relevant category links on the Belfast Telegraph website.

The judging panel, chaired by Clare Guinness, is comprised of experienced professionals across the business sphere, including retail, innovation, entrepreneurship and managed services.

These prestigious awards champion the individuals, teams and businesses behind Northern Ireland’s business community, and recognise the talent behind the projects and organisations that are leading the way in supporting Northern Ireland’s economy.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner event on Thursday 1st May 2025, in The Crowne Plaza, Belfast.
