Innovate+ provides practical innovation support for SMEs across Northern Ireland and the border counties.
It is designed for businesses that want to improve productivity, explore how AI or digital technology could be used in their business, develop new products, services or processes, strengthen leadership, or bring in specialist expertise and fresh talent.
The process starts with a short Innovation Audit, followed by a one-to-one Business Review with an Innovation Officer. This is an opportunity to look at where the business is now, what it wants to improve and where Innovate+ could help. Each business then receives a tailored Innovation Management Plan setting out practical next steps and relevant areas of support.
Businesses can access help with leadership, AI and digital technology, practical workshops, masterclasses, university expertise, student talent and internships. More in-depth technical support is also available for businesses looking at digital innovation, improving operations or developing new products and services.
Innovate+ is open to eligible SMEs registered in Northern Ireland, Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan or Louth. Businesses must have been trading for at least two years and meet the programme’s SME criteria.
