Five NI tech companies rank among fastest-growing firms in Deloitte EMEA Fast 500

• Highest ranking NI company StormHarvester places 24th on Fast 500 list
• Ambitious tech companies across the island of Ireland are invited to follow in the footsteps of unicorns by applying for Deloitte Ireland’s 2026 Technology Fast 50 awards

Over 20 technology companies on the island of Ireland, including five based in Northern Ireland, have ranked in the Deloitte 2025 EMEA Technology Fast 500, which recognises the 500 fastest-growing technology companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, positioning innovators from the island alongside some of the world’s most dynamic tech leaders. Across all 500 companies and 24 countries, the average revenue growth rate over four years was 1,024.47%. The 22 companies from Ireland were on par at 1,016.48%.

NI tech business, StormHarvester ranked highest among the companies from the island of Ireland, at 24th on the list, with a revenue growth rate of over 3,012.4%. The Belfast-based company, which has developed an advanced anomaly detection system to help wastewater utilities predict and prevent issues like flooding and pollution, was also the 2025 winner of Deloitte Ireland’s Technology Fast 50. In the Fast 500 ranking, Irish companies Mail Metrics and Klearcom also placed in the top 100, ranking 54th and 74th, respectively. The companies also came in at second and third in last year’s Deloitte Fast 50 ranking in Ireland.

Mail Metrics provides customer communications solutions to organisations operating in regulated sectors, while Klearcom provides global voice and IVR testing capabilities to organisations with a dependency on customer communication. In the previous year, 20 companies in Ireland were included in the Fast 500 rankings, with the Irish fintech Wayflyer ranking the highest at number 43.  The four other NI companies that secured places this year were broadband provider Fibrus at 143, security software firm Halo Technologies at 264, sports software company TeamFeePay at 299 and climate tech firm CATAGEN at 400. These results underline the continued strength of the island’s indigenous technology sector in a highly competitive global market.

Applications for Deloitte Ireland’s 2026 Technology Fast 50 are now open

The Deloitte Fast 50 is one of Ireland’s foremost technology awards, ranking the country’s fastest-growing indigenous technology companies by revenue growth over four years.

Ireland has been home to approximately 10 technology unicorns, which is a reflection of the strength of the country’s start-up and scale-up community.

Several of these unicorns, including LetsGetChecked, Flipdish, Fenergo, Wayflyer, and Tines, are alumni of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 programme, highlighting its strong track record of identifying future high-growth success.
