Join us at this year’s President’s Lunch where we celebrate screen and media in Belfast, featuring two of Northern Ireland’s most exciting creative voices: Lisa McGee and RóisÃn Gallagher. Lisa McGee, the award-winning creator of Derry Girls and the writer behind ‘How to Get to Heaven from Belfast’, has become one of the most influential storytellers to emerge from Northern Ireland. Her work captures the humour and spirit of local life while resonating with audiences around the world.
Joining her is acclaimed actress RóisÃn Gallagher, known for her standout performances in The Lovers and How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. A proud Belfast native, RóisÃn brings depth, authenticity and emotional honesty to every role she takes on.
We are delighted to welcome the exceptional Lynette Faye to host this event and together, they will take part in an intimate fireside chat, sharing insights into their careers, creative journeys, and the realities of working in the screen industry today. From writing and performance to navigating opportunities from Northern Ireland to the global stage, this conversation promises to be both inspiring and insightful.
In addition to this inspiring conversation, we will also feature a special live performance from Fra Fee alongside the National Youth Choir NI. Hailing from Dungannon, Fra is an acclaimed stage and screen performer, known for roles spanning the West End, Broadway, and on screen in productions like Les Misérables and Hawkeye. Joining him, the choir, one of Northern Ireland’s leading youth music organisations, will bring together exceptional young voices for a powerful rendition of a musical theatre classic. We’ll also hear from Fra about his latest Netflix drama ‘Unchosen’ as he joins Lynette for a fireside chat.
