We’re thrilled to announce the launch of E-DATA (The Enterprise Digitalisation And Transformation Alliance), a major new cross-border initiative dedicated to boosting the competitiveness and resilience of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Led by Ulster University, E-DATA is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
Project Aims: Innovation, Competitiveness, and Productivity
The E-DATA project aims to support SMEs in their digital transformation journey, enabling them to become more innovative, competitive, and productive. The comprehensive program is designed to move businesses beyond a basic digital presence and focus on embedding advanced digital solutions, data analytics, and automation.
The key objectives include:
- Enhancing Digital Capabilities: Providing structured training and assessment through the Digital Transformation Programme.
- Improving Operational Efficiency: Leveraging the latest digital technologies for Digital Solution Adoption, which directly translates to improving productivity.
- Driving Decarbonisation and Sustainability: Offering expert advice and tools to help SMEs adopt more environmentally responsible practices.
- Fostering Cross-Border Networks: Building collaborative networks to promote cross-border innovation and knowledge exchange across the region.
E-DATA will serve SMEs across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, tourism, hospitality, agriculture, food, retail, and professional services.
Your Voice, Our Future Workshops
The full suite of E-DATA services, including the Digital Transformation Programme and E-DATA Roadshow, will be launched in January 2026. However, before the full launch, the project needs your business’s input to guarantee the program is built for your real-world needs.
We are seeking interested SMEs to attend a 90-minute, high-impact workshop to define and prioritise the digital help you need most to grow, save money, and work across the border. This is not a lecture, but a working session designed to help E-DATA decide:
- Which digital challenges (e.g., paperwork, energy tracking, or sales automation) are costing your business the most time and money.
- The exact tools and expertise the E-DATA project should focus its resources on.
- How the program can best help you cut costs and transition to low-carbon operations.
